We all know the famous French ice breaker, salut, ça va ?

What about “ça te va“, an equally used expression ?

ça te va ?” is the equivalent of “is it ok with you?” or “does it suit you?

You can use ait ny time you’re setting up a rendez-vous with a friend.

Let’s meet at 3pm, ça te va ?

How about you come to my house for some cheese and wine tonight, ça te va ?

Don’t forget you can tweak it for talking to a group of people or simply make it more formal with : ça vous va ?

But that’s not all ! This expression can also be translated as “does it suit you?”, meaning you may also use it when trying on clothes, shoes or anything else ?
